Artist Biography

While studying at Kansai University, I began performing at jazz clubs in the Kyoto–Osaka–Kobe area. After graduation, I studied jazz theory and jazz piano under Sadayasu Fujii (P). In the 1980s, I spent several periods in New York, participating in numerous sessions. Around that time, on Mr. Fujii’s recommendation, I became a regular member of Masashi Nakayama’s (Ds) trio. I have also performed with many top artists in Japan and abroad, including Itaru Oki (Tp), Sadao Watanabe (As), Othello Molineaux (Weather Report, steel drum), Tiger Ohkoshi (Tp), and Mitsuru Furuya (As).

In 2009, I released my leader album 36 HEARTS, and the following year my original composition “Bossa Mood” won first place in the Jazz category of Australia’s Dolphin Award. The album itself placed in the top three. I have also participated in recordings for ZEH by Israeli singer-songwriter Amir Paiss and Jewel by vocalist Mayumi Takarada.

Currently, I perform at jazz clubs, events, and concerts throughout the Kyoto–Osaka–Kobe area, and serve as the resident pianist at the Kyoto club Repos.

Artist Biography

Born into a family that ran a piano school, I received piano training from early childhood but switched to bass during high school. After years of honing my skills and gaining experience, I began my professional career.

I have performed as a regular bassist at oldies live houses and cabarets, and now appear at a wide range of events and live music venues.

In 2014, I appeared on the TV Asahi program Untitled Concert. With a versatile repertoire spanning rock, pop, jazz, Latin, and classical, I am active mainly in the Kansai area. I have also shared the stage with numerous renowned artists, including Eiji Kitamura, Yoshitaka Akimitsu, Hiroshi Munekiyo, and Ritsuko Abe.

With a deep commitment to the beauty of the piano’s tone, I strive to deliver performances that truly reach the heart—whether solo, acoustic, or with a band—expressing the full range of human emotion, a style that has earned wide acclaim.

Artist Biography

Began playing guitar at the age of 14.

After graduating from high school, enrolled in a music vocational school, where he developed a deep passion for Black music genres such as blues, jazz, funk, and soul.

While still a student, he was selected as the Kyoto representative in the Yamaha-sponsored Teens Music Festival, advancing to the national finals—a milestone that marked the beginning of his professional career.

Since then, he has supported a wide range of artists in live performances, participated in recording sessions for commercials and other media, and has been actively performing as a soulful guitarist, especially with his own unit Soul Sauce.

He also serves as an instructor at a professional music school.

Artist Biography

Primarily specializing in instrumental acoustic guitar performances, he also incorporates vocal and guitar sets as well as captivating loop performances—layering multiple parts live to create a one-man session. By 2017, he had performed on nearly 700 stages.

Representing Japan for two consecutive years at KMC, one of the largest music conferences held in Japan and featuring musicians from over a dozen countries across five continents, he made a strong international impression. In 2013, he became the first Japanese artist to receive the prestigious Hiram Bullock Award at the associated KMC Music Awards.

In addition to multiple other accolades, his talents have extended to live musical performances in theatrical productions, including sharing the stage with Hiroki Matsukata and appearing in the official memorial performance marking three years since the passing of Makoto Fujita.

More recently, he has been personally selected by former stars of the Takarazuka Revue and OSK Nippon Revue Company to accompany their stage shows, steadily expanding his presence in the entertainment scene.

Artist Biography

Graduated from the Wind Ensemble Course (Clarinet) at Osaka College of Music Junior College, and later from the Department of Instrumental Music at Osaka College of Music with a major in Clarinet.

While in school, she appeared in numerous concerts, including those hosted by the Osaka Artists Association (Izumi Hall).
After graduation, she passed the audition for the Izumi no Mori Fresh Concert and performed in the series.

She has performed Weber’s Clarinet Quintet with members of the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra, participated in the Recital Relay Concert held in Kurayoshi, Tottori Prefecture, and gives regular dedication performances at the Enryūin Temple in Daisen Town, Tottori.

In addition, she has led public chamber music lectures titled “The Joy of Chamber Music” in collaboration with pianist Tsuyoshi Miyazaki at NHK Culture Centers in Osaka, Nishinomiya, and Kobe.

Her performance activities span orchestra, wind ensemble, chamber music, and solo works. She is also actively engaged in educational outreach, offering school performances and lessons at elementary, junior high, and high schools across Japan as part of the Agency for Cultural Affairs’ youth development initiatives.

She studied clarinet under Koichi Honda, Yuka Nagato, and Yuka Fujii.

Artist Biography

Started playing the Electone at an early age and developed a strong interest in arranging and composing music. Later enrolled at Koyo Conservatory of Music, where she studied music theory, arrangement, Electone, and jazz piano.

After graduation, began teaching Electone and melodica, and is currently an active instructor of popular piano at her home studio and external music schools.

As a performer, she plays piano, keyboard, and melodica in various settings—including big bands, combos, trios, and duos—appearing at cafés, live music venues, and events.

Outdoor performances are also possible using an aerial truss setup.

Artist Biography

Joined the To Be Happy Choir in 2004 and began singing gospel music.

In 2006, passed an audition and began performing live at a club in Shinsaibashi.

In 2009, formed the band Ponopono 3 as lead vocalist and performed original songs at the “Honmamon” event held at Tsutenkaku Tower.

In 2010, joined the NPO A Common Beat and took part in the “100 People 100 Days” musical project.
In August of the same year, performed at the international reunion in Arizona, presenting a stage for nearly 1,000 Common Beat members from around the world.

In November, wrote and composed the event theme song “Love Farm” upon request and performed it live.

In December, formed the vocal & guitar unit Riel & Noel, performing in a relaxed style at galleries, live houses, and bars mainly in Osaka—singing across genres including pop, rock, and jazz.

In 2011, joined the Harmony Club and began performing Picture Book Live, a unique and original fusion of picture books, music, and visuals that creates a magical world of storytelling.
These performances are held at kindergartens, day service centers, galleries, events, and music bars across a variety of settings.
