Artist Biography

Discovered wind ensemble music at the age of 15 and began playing the saxophone.

Entered the Saxophone Department at Osaka University of Arts, where he pursued formal musical studies.

After graduation, performed at the Higashi-Osaka Newcomer Concert.

Currently active as a solo performer, band member, and saxophone instructor.

Also regularly visits nursing homes, kindergartens, and day service centers as part of a small wind ensemble, sharing music and joy with the community.

Artist Biography

After graduating from the Music Department of Toho Girls’ High School and completing the Diploma program at Toho Gakuen School of Music, she went on to study in the United States. She received awards from both the Aspen Music Festival Scholarship Competition and the Schadt String Competition. During the summer seasons, she also studied in Europe, participating in programs such as the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Italy, the London Masterclasses, and the Tibor Varga Festival in Switzerland, performing in each of their commemorative concerts.

In Japan, she passed the audition held by the Japan Federation of Musicians and gave a solo recital featuring an all-unaccompanied program at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan.

After completing her master’s degrees at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and the Cleveland Institute of Music, she held positions with the Hyogo Performing Arts Center Orchestra, the Hong Kong Sinfonietta, and the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra in New Zealand.

She has since returned to Japan and continues to perform nationwide as a recitalist and ensemble member, while also dedicating herself to teaching and organizing concerts.

Graduated from the Popular Vocal Department of Osaka College of Music Junior College.

After graduation, began performing as the vocalist of a pop band, writing and composing original songs. Studied under Toshikazu Shimada and other instructors specializing in Black music.

Currently active in a wide range of genres—including jazz, pop, and kayōkyoku (Japanese popular songs)—performing at live bars, restaurants, and parties, mainly in the Osaka and Nara areas.

The shō, used in gagaku (ancient Japanese court music), is said to resemble a phoenix resting with its wings raised, and its sound is often likened to rays of light descending from the heavens. I put my heart into every note I play, and I look forward to sharing that with you.

Artist Biography

Graduated from Osaka College of Music with a degree in Composition.

Studied composition and piano under Yoko Kubo and Eisuke Tsuchida, piano under Setsuko Ibaraki, and shō (hōshō) under Kinuyo Hayashi. Also received guidance from A. Gorsan, J.-L. Hervé, C. Ledoux, C. J. Walter, and P. Ghanne.

Participated in international art seminars. Studied piano with M. Jost and chamber music with P.-Y. Artaud, P. Monti, and W. Grimmer.

Performed in “21st Century Music Bath” Vol.13, 14, and 19–21.
Attended the Courchevel Summer International Music Academy in France, received a diploma, and was selected to perform in the student concert.

Awarded a scholarship to attend the 13th Takefu International Composition Workshop.

Recipient and finalist in several competitions, including the 9th TIAA All Japan Composer Competition, the 25th Kyoto Art Festival Newcomer Award (Music Division), Italy’s RISUONANZE incontri di nuove musiche, and the 3rd Senzoku Contemporary Music Composition Competition (Category B: Works for Keyboard Instruments).

Two of her original songs are featured in the collection While There Is Light – Songs Based on the Poetry of Nobuo Suzuki, available from Belta Record.

Active as a shō performer, composer, and collaborative pianist, she engages in a wide range of musical endeavors.

Artist Biography

Started playing the piano at the age of five, and during junior high and high school years in Kobe, immersed in performing with rock and fusion bands.

While in university, studied jazz under Sadayasu Fujii in Kyoto, which sparked a deep passion for the genre. Began performing professionally as a pianist while still a student, and held a regular weekend after-hours gig for five years at Kyoto’s renowned live spot, RAG, where she performed alongside top musicians from Japan and abroad.

After graduation, she traveled to New York three times to experience the heart of the jazz scene.

Currently active in the Kansai region, performing at live music venues, hotels, and more.

Artist Biography

Vocalist Misa Onishi

She began studying classical piano at the age of 3. At 10, inspired by hearing “Moonlight Serenade” on the radio, she set her sights on becoming a jazz singer and began learning jazz piano.

By the age of 16, she was already performing jazz vocals at bars and cafés. After graduating high school, she spent one year studying in South Korea and two years in New York, attending Word of Life Bible Institute in both countries.

During her time abroad, she was active in musical theater and even formed her own jazz band.

Currently based in the Kansai area, she performs across a variety of genres including jazz, gospel, R&B, and pop.

From a young age, she was part of a junior gymnastics development team, where she built a strong foundation in physical expression through ballet and dance.

In 2012, she began training in pole dance and aerial hoop.

She has also performed in showcases and collaborated with artists playing traditional instruments.

Artist Biography

With 12 years of dance experience, she began her journey specializing in hip-hop and street jazz, actively participating in various events.

Six years into her career, she expanded her training to include modern and contemporary dance, and also began working as a yoga instructor to support her physical well-being and conditioning.

In 2014, she discovered aerial performance and began training in pole dance, aerial ring, and aerial silk (tissue).

Stage Appearances Include:

  • The musical Captain Zipang
  • Dance opera KAGUYA, where she performed as both an actor and a dancer

She has also collaborated with flash mob planning companies as a performer, and appeared in the music video for Are you ok? by the Kansai artist group Real Groove.

Additionally, she was contracted as a performer with a major theme park entertainment team.

In the aerial arts, her credits include appearances at Art Beat (hosted by Suminoe Ward) and the Labyrinth no Kaori program on Baycom Channel.

She continues to stay active in events, stage productions, and surprise flash mob performances.

Artist Biography

She began studying classical piano at the age of five and was active in her school choir during elementary school, developing a love for music from an early age.

In 2004, she began voice training and launched her musical career. Since then, she has performed in a variety of formats including bands, acoustic duos, chorus groups, and as a solo artist accompanying herself on piano.

From 2007 to 2011, she served as a regular house musician, performing one to two times per month at live bars in Osaka and Nara.

Her experience also includes singing for pachinko machine soundtracks, supporting other musicians in CD productions and live shows, performing in theatrical productions, and working as a vocal instructor.

She is currently active mainly in the Kansai region.

He began studying piano at the age of 4 and switched to guitar at 16. Since then, he has performed at live houses and concert halls, collaborated with visiting international musicians, and supported a wide range of artists and entertainers as a backing band member and recording guitarist.

In addition to performing, he is also involved in songwriting, arranging, and music production, with appearances on various media platforms including television and radio.

His career extends beyond Japan, with successful performances at international festivals, on overseas television programs, and in live concerts abroad.
