Artist Biography

Born in 1972
She majored in saxophone at Tokushima Bunri University, Faculty of Music, where she studied classical music during her time as a student.
After graduation, she expanded her musical range and began working as a supporting musician in various genres, including pop, rock, brass band, and jazz. She has performed live at restaurants, event venues, and more.

Currently, in addition to her own performances, she is actively involved in music education—teaching a wide range of age groups as a school club advisor and music school instructor.

Artist Biography

She graduated from the Department of Performance at Osaka University of Arts, receiving the Laboratory Award upon graduation.
While in school, she was selected through auditions to perform in various prestigious concerts, including “An Evening of Ensemble” hosted by the Kansai Music University Association and the Kubo-so Museum Concert.
She also performed in the university’s graduation concert and was recommended by the university to appear in several notable events: the Kansai Newcomers Concert by the Kansai Music University Association, the Yamaha Wind Instrument Newcomers Concert, the Kansai Flute Association Newcomers Concert, and the Nishinomiya Fresh Concert for newly graduated musicians.

After graduation, she studied in France and participated in masterclasses with Jean Ferrandis and Kazunori Seo. She also took part in a public woodwind quintet lesson led by Ingo Goritzki.
Her flute instructors include Yumiko Ako and Nozomi Machinaga.

Her teaching career is extensive, with students having earned top honors such as Gold Prize at the Kansai Wind Ensemble Competition and the Osaka Ensemble Contest.

Director of the design calligraphy school “ZOU”

After working as a graphic designer, DTP operator, and fine art printing sales representative, she began studying under calligrapher Souhou Takeda in 2017.
With a designer’s perspective, she specializes in expressive brush lettering, crafting each stroke from the story behind the work to the everyday moments of the future it envisions.

Artist Biography

She began studying classical piano in early childhood.
During high school, she started studying vocal music while studying abroad in London.
Around the same time, she was selected as the Miss International West Japan representative and worked as a show model for events hosted by elite JAPAN and Schwarzkopf.

She graduated from Osaka University of Arts with a specialization in vocals from the Popular Music course.
She studied under renowned singer and musical theatre actress Kaho Shimada.
Deeply influenced by Shimada, she began performing in a wide range of genres including pop, jazz, musical theatre, and classical music.

She has performed at prestigious venues such as The Ritz-Carlton Osaka, Hyatt Regency, and Imperial Hotel, and continues to be active in the Kansai area. She also performs as a bridal singer.

Tomohiro Kawata

Artist Biography

He began playing electric bass during his student years and, after graduating from university, enrolled at Koyo Conservatory of Music, where he studied under Hiroshi Shiozaki and Katsuhiko Sasai.
After graduation, he became increasingly drawn to the charm of jazz and studied swing under Nobumasa Uotani.
Since then, he has been active in jazz performances and sessions, primarily in Kobe, Osaka, and Akashi.

In recent years, he has also performed Chanson, appearing on stages organized by Chanson KAKEHASHI—a Japan-France friendship project led by former Takarazuka Revue performer Kaoru Kaze—and Wind Music Company.
He has also shared the stage with Kenichi Mikawa, Linda Yamamoto, and ROLLY.

Akane Nakagaki

Artist Biography

Based in New York, she studied under acclaimed vocalists Sara Serpa and Charenee Wade.
Since 2004, she has been performing nationwide, primarily in the Tokai region of Japan.
With a sweet yet expansive voice and lyrical expression, her instrumental approach to vocal performance has earned her growing support through collaborations with various instrumental bands.

In February 2008, she released her debut album “Yes” on the What’s New Records label, which was nominated for the Jazz Disc Award by Swing Journal.
In August of the same year, she participated in “Jazz Vocal Showcase VOL.1,” released by Grace Notes Records, receiving high praise.

Her second album “River” was released in June 2011 via What’s New Records, followed by a performance at the Nagoya Blue Note in August.
On January 18, 2012, she appeared on the album KASH / EVER.
In July 2012, she contributed to alto saxophonist Kaoru Tsubakida’s third album Cloudless Sky, and again in September 2016 for his fourth album The Mountain with No Name.

In April 2017, she released her third album Lost Generation with What’s New Records. The album was well received and featured prominently in Jazz Japan, The Chunichi Shimbun, and other major publications.

In June 2019, she performed the national anthem at Kyocera Dome for the Orix Buffaloes vs. Yokohama DeNA BayStars baseball game.

Currently, she remains active across a broad spectrum: from live house performances, jazz street festivals, and concerts, to providing music for commercials, private events, and home concerts.

A laid-back, enigmatic singer who seems to appear out of nowhere, accompanied by a 2D avatar.
With a voice that’s soft, delicate, and filled with clarity, she sings as if whispering—gently filling the gaps in your heart. Her style brings warmth, nostalgia, and a touch of melancholy, delivering a familiar and comforting sound she calls “Yuru-Emo R&B” to audiences around the world.

Musical Style:
Her songs blend elements of R&B, pop, hip hop, and jazz, featuring catchy melodies, lyrics rooted in love and real-life perspective with just the right amount of edge, and a smooth, wistful vocal tone.
These tracks aim to naturally complement any time, place, or atmosphere—subtly touching the listener and settling into the heart.

While my main focus is jazz, I also enjoy performing pop and rock, and I’m able to play the ukulele as well.

Artist Biography

Began playing piano at the age of five and picked up the electric guitar at fourteen.
Soon after entering high school, he was invited by upperclassmen to join a band during a trial session of the light music club, leading him to start performing live at venues such as live houses from the age of sixteen.

After graduating high school, he entered a music vocational school.
He performed as the opening act for “Guitar Maestro,” part of Kansai’s first full-scale guitar event, Guitar Tornado.
Also gave demo performances at Sound Messe, one of Japan’s largest string instrument events.

Graduated at the top of his class, then transitioned to jazz, studying jazz guitar under Motofusa Kisaku.
He began his professional career during this period, performing in live shows and sessions with a wide range of musicians.

Currently active in jazz live performances, wedding ceremonies, and various events across a broad spectrum of styles.

Artist Biography

Awarded a special entrance scholarship for outstanding academic performance, she entered the Department of Performance at Kwassui Women’s University Faculty of Music.
While still a student, she appeared as a guest performer with the Kyushu Chamber Orchestra and the Kyushu Symphony Orchestra. Upon graduation, she received the President’s Special Commendation.

She then entered the Graduate Diploma Program at Toho Gakuen School of Music. During her time there, she was selected to perform with the Toho Gakuen Orchestra on its Nagoya tour. Beyond school, she actively engaged in chamber music collaborations with sopranos, violinists, and pianists.

After completing the program in 2014, she was active in Tokyo and Yokohama until 2018, performing in orchestras, at weddings and parties, and teaching at music schools.
With a natural command of English learned from an early age (Eiken Grade Pre-1), she has taught flute to students from over 10 different countries.

After marriage, she continued her musical career while relocating with her spouse, staying involved in both performance and education.

She studied flute under Misako So, Akira Nagata, Kazunori Seo, and Hiroaki Kanda.

Artist Biography

She began studying Japanese traditional dance at the age of four and, after graduating from university, was drawn to the art of belly dance.
She joined the Warda team under OLGA, where she learned the fundamentals of Egyptian style and folklore.
Later, she trained under Mayuko and passed the audition as a first-generation member of the school’s official troupe SapphireN Nour, performing in numerous shows and events.

In 2019, after many years as a core member of SapphireN Nour, she graduated from Mayuko’s school and became independent. She now leads YUMI BellyDance School.
She continues to deepen her technique and expressive power while expanding her artistic activities.

Specializing in both Egyptian and Argentine styles, she is known for her captivating smile that lights up the stage, expressive performances, and her distinctive shimmy technique. Her lessons are guided by the motto of “fun and joyful,” and her school welcomes students ranging from elementary school children to those in their 70s.
