My name is Kenta Nakao, and I’m a saxophone player. It’s a pleasure to introduce myself.
I first discovered the saxophone during my university years, and I’ve been captivated by its charm ever since. While I currently focus primarily on jazz, I’ve also had the valuable opportunity to collaborate and perform with artists across a wide range of genres, including pop, rock, techno, blues, funk, Latin, bossa nova, hip-hop, and free improvisation.
These diverse experiences continue to shape and inspire my musical journey. I always approach my work with deep gratitude and a sincere joy for making music, and I am fully committed to giving my best in every performance and project.
Thank you very much for your support.
Artist Biography
I am currently active mainly in cafés and bars around Kyoto.
I have performed at several major jazz festivals, including the Takatsuki Jazz Street, as well as festivals in Kōrien, Ōtsu, Kadoma, Fujinomori, and Hirakata.
In addition to festivals, I have also participated in events held at large shopping malls, Keibunsha bookstore, Kobe Coffee Headquarters, the Nagaokakyō Garasha Festival, the Toyonaka Festival, and the Suita City Children’s Center.
I was also a member of the Dandy Duke Orchestra, a big band based in Shiga Prefecture.

These diverse musical experiences have allowed me to develop flexibility in my playing, and I consider them truly valuable to my growth as a musician.
I have also released my own independently produced album, currently available.
