Currently based in France, I perform not only in classical concerts but also in creating elegant atmospheres at restaurants and hotels with popular tunes. To meet each client’s wishes, I carefully select pieces from a wide-ranging repertoire and perform them with heartfelt dedication.

Artist Biography

Formed in 2016, Quatuor Avena is a saxophone quartet comprised of four musicians of different nationalities, all of whom studied at the Strasbourg Conservatory in France. They honed their craft under Philippe Geiss, a pioneer in crossover saxophone performance. With a diverse repertoire ranging from Baroque to contemporary music, jazz, and improvisation, the group continues to perform throughout Strasbourg.

They were semi-finalists at the 20th Illzach International Chamber Music Competition, and in June 2017 won first prize at the inaugural Chamber Music Competition in Remiremont, France. That same year, they gave a gala concert at the Henri Selmer Paris headquarters. In autumn 2017, they embarked on their first Japan tour, performing in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, and Okayama, and appeared as guest artists at various events including the Kurashiki Saxophone Festival. At the Kurashiki International Saxophone Competition, they won both first prize in the chamber music category and the special Kazuo Tomioka Award. They also received first prize (Le Prix de la Ville de Boulogne-Billancourt) and a special award at the Chamber Music Competition in Boulogne (Paris).
