My name is Tsujikawa Go, a drummer. Truly great performances have the power to change a listener’s life.
Today, music is most commonly enjoyed through subscription services, listened to via earphones or small speakers. This convenience certainly has its advantages, allowing people to enjoy music easily anytime.
However, there is also the expression “to be immersed in sound.” Experiencing live music—where the presence and energy of the performing musicians are conveyed directly—is something truly special. Live performances allow you to feel sound with your entire body in a way that earphones alone never can. I would like to share the profound appeal of live music, where sound is not just heard, but fully experienced.
Artist Biography
Born in Fukuchiyama City, Kyoto Prefecture.
He began playing drums at the age of 14 after discovering West Coast American punk rock, later developing a strong interest in heavy metal and hard rock. During his university years, he immersed himself in copying and performing a wide range of musical genres as a member of a light music club.
In his mid-20s, he decided to pursue a professional career as a drummer and studied under Keisuke Umemoto. He gained extensive professional experience through artist support work for idols, singers, and rock bands, as well as regular show performances in jazz and oldies settings.
In 2017, he launched and began operating his own drum school, and to date has provided drum lessons to more than 200 students in total.
His current performance activities include an instrumental guitar trio led by YouTuber guitarist Yoshiaki Imahori, the punk band Sandiest (which resumed activities in 2017), the contemporary jazz piano trio Sanbon no Sugi, support work for the loud rock mixed-gender band Fatephix, as well as performances at restaurants and wedding events. His work spans a wide range of genres, including punk, jazz, rock, metal, instrumental music, and vocal-centered projects.
