Artist Biography
Graduated from the Wind Instruments Department of the Faculty of Music at Soai University, where she also appeared in the university’s graduation concert. She won 4th place at the 10th Nagai Cup International Music Competition and received a grant through the Tokyo International Association of Arts audition program for overseas music university masterclasses, with plans to attend the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna masterclass.
In January 2018, she performed Hoffmeister’s Clarinet Concerto with the Festival Orchestra in a concert presented by The Symphony Hall, and in July of the same year held a highly acclaimed recital at the Hyogo Performing Arts Center.
Her studio work includes contributing to the original soundtrack for the black-and-white silent film DEVOTE.
She has studied under Momoko Hirono, Kazuo Fujii, and Brooks Tone, and has participated in masterclasses with Koichi Hamanaka and Karl Leister.
She is a clarinetist with the Japan Wind Ensemble “Momotaro Band,” a performing staff member at Osaka University of Arts, and a resident artist aboard Kobe Concerto.
Currently, she performs widely in Kansai, from chamber and solo concerts in salons, hotels, and restaurants to school programs, community revitalization events, and wind ensembles. Always exploring the possibilities of the clarinet, she actively embraces a variety of musical genres beyond classical.
