In conjunction with the grand opening of a new tenant at Grand Front Osaka
We had the opportunity to provide live piano performances as part of a customer-attraction initiative.
The objective of this performance was to draw the attention of passersby and encourage them to enter the store through live music. Unlike simply playing recorded background music, live performance naturally captures attention and creates a stronger point of engagement. Although this was a solo performance, the use of accompaniment tracks added richness and vibrancy to the overall sound.
As this was an opening event, the venue welcomed a large number of visitors. While the audience flow was naturally dynamic, many people stopped to listen, and we were pleased to learn that numerous guests were drawn into the store by the music they heard. This experience was particularly rewarding.
Unlike a conventional concert, this performance required careful consideration of the event’s concept. I selected and arranged music that aligned with the theme of “newness,” incorporating jazz and progressive elements, and also performed original compositions. While I initially wondered how progressive music would be received in this context, it proved to spark curiosity, and for some visitors, it became a gateway to further enjoying the showroom experience.
The event consisted of five stages, all of which passed by in what felt like an instant.
